Playschool Fundraising

Hamble Village Playschool is a charitable organisation, and as such we are always looking for ways to raise money. Every penny we raise goes towards new resources, games, equipment … basically … towards more FUN for the children! Most recently, precious funds have been used to bring the outdoor classroom area back into action, electronic tablets for the children to use and much more.

Sadly, we have been unable to undertake much fundraising since the start of the pandemic. Plans are in place for events in 2022 and we look forward to attending the formal opening of the reburbished Co-op in February 2022 where we will also receive a cheque from GE Aviation. Photos to follow.

Past events include:

Film Night and Disco: Children enjoyed watching Merry Madagascar, followed by hot dogs, popcorn, and a disco.

Christmas Craft Fayre: Selection of outside stall holders, along with free craft tables for the children, teddy tombola, face painting and the opportunity to have your photograph taken with Father Christmas and his elves!

Cllr Keith House kindly provided a full grant for the pre-school to do a much-needed makeover of the carpark area of our outside space with vibrant floor paintings, including a road system for the children to follow on their trikes, a learning ladder and several other fun and educational graphics.

As you can see, a wonderful new decking area has been built  and bark laid throughout. A variety of gardening facilities have been installed, a toy kitchen plus other toys are now being used by the children. And the large undercover area enables it to be used (almost!) whatever the weather!
