Hamble Village Playschool is a registered charity and is run by a parent-managed committee. This committee is responsible for:

• Employing and paying staff
• Managing the Pre-school finances
• Ensuring that the Pre-school follows policies that help it provide high quality childcare and education
• Creating a working partnership with the children’s parents

The Committee is elected annually at the Playschool’s Annual General Meeting, which is held in the autumn term. The current Chair Person is Anita Keelor, who can be contacted via Julie@hamblevillageplayschool.org.uk .

As a parent of a child at Playschool, you are automatically invited to attend regular Committee Meetings. The Committee and Staff get together every 6-8 weeks to discuss matters that have arisen at Playschool, organise fund raising events, allocate funds for new equipment and generally ensure the smooth running of the group.

We love it when parents get involved and everyone is welcome to:

• Join the committee
• Help out at fund-raising and social events
• Help during Pre-school sessions

If you would like to speak to a member of the Committee either before enrolling your child or at any time in the future, please do not hesitate to contact the Chair Person or any Committee member.
 

Emergency Cover

From September 2011, a couple of members of staff will be attending college one day a week. Subsequently we would like to increase the Playschool's Emergency Cover list and are looking for parents/carers who would like to volunteer; sometimes at short notice, to help within the session. If anyone is interested, kindly contact Julie Ash and she will explain in more detail how it works and what is involved.
